FAQ
In this section you will find the most commonly asked questions about PcCareSupports online computer support. If you have a question you don’t see listed feel free to call us.
What is online remote computer support?
Online computer support, also known as, “remote” or “virtual” online computer support is the practice of having your computer worked on by a technician over the internet. The technician can view your screen and move the mouse and keyboard safely from a remote location.
The benefits of online computer support include:
• Saves time: Receive help instantly without having to wait for a tech to arrive to you. No need to take the bulky computer to a shop or wait for an expensive in-home visit.
• Cost savings: Our costs are much lower than sending a tech to you…. this lets us charge much more affordable prices for the same high quality service as you would receive from an onsite technician.
Is online computer support safe?
Yes, the user must initiate the session and has the ability to end the session at any time with a simple click. Our technician will only perform the functions necessary to correct your problem. Once the problem has been corrected the session will close and be permanently gone from your system.
What if you can’t fix it remotely?
If for some reason PcCareSupport can’t resolve your problem then there will be no cost involved. There are times when an online remote session will not be adequate to remedy a particular problem. In those cases we will schedule an onsite technician to physically come to your location.
What are your hours?
You can contact us 24 hours a day in order to schedule service. We will then schedule a time that is convenient for you.
Who is actually going to work on my computer?
All of our PcCareSupport technician’s are highly qualified with years of experience in the Information Technology field. Our technicians are specifically trained in online computer support. Depending on the problem we will allocate the technician who is best for your specific needs.
Can a technician access my computer without permission?
No, you the customer must initiate the connection to your personal computer. Every time PcCareSupport accesses your computer an online program is temporarily installed. Once we are finished working, we log off the session and the program that allows access is removed from your computer.
